The Life of John

This is the development blog of John James Jacoby. It is my personal sounding board and a place for me to talk about WordPress, BuddyPress, and bbPress related things. I’m an independent BuddyPress consultant and core contributor to the BuddyPress platform with a fluent knowledge of WordPress, bbPress, BuddyPress, and all of the tools those platforms use to be so super awesome.

Things I like:

• Puppies – If you don’t, you’re dead inside
• Internationalization – The world is getting smaller folks, learn a new language or two, or at least make sure your website does
• Sony Vaios – I’ve owned three, and plan on owning more. I’ve received nothing from Sony to say this, but I wouldn’t turn them away!
• NetBeans – It’s my IDE of choice at the moment, I just wish XDebug played nicer and that it was a little bit faster locally
• Traveling – Don’t nearly do enough of it, and when I do I rarely experience what I probably should, but it is lots of fun!
• Iams/Eukanuba – I got to visit their testing grounds, and they’re kickass. The people that work there are pretty awesome too
• Movies – All movies… They give my mind a break away from the code.
• Food – Seems like I never eat in anymore, and I think that’s okay… Right?
